ABOUT ME
My name is Penelope, and I currently live in Austria. I hold two bachelor degrees: one in linguistics and one in translation studies. Currently, I'm pursuing two master degrees in media studies and audiovisual and literary translation. In addition to this, I am also a junior member of UNIVERSITAS Austria, the Interpreters' and Translators' Association.
Aside from languages and translating, I am a big fan of video games. I grew up on Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon, and games continue to be a big part of my life, whether it be in my free time, my studies or my working life. My love for storytelling stems from some of these games:

Some of my other hobbies include swimming (I used to swim competetively for 16 years), listening to music, reading fantasy books, poetry or watching reality TV.
WORK
★ How I work: As a translator, I focus on combining precision, research skills and linguistic expertise with creativity and a certain sense of finesse. I pride myself on diving deeply into each text.★ Communication is key: Aside from that, I also communicate openly throughout my work process, for example, by asking questions regarding the source text or for clarification regarding your needs. If I spot mistakes in the source material, I will let you know to ensure the final product is up to your expectations.★ Quality assurance: In all my work, I strive to deliver the best possible result and hold myself to a very high standard.★ Time management: Deadlines are not a foreign concept to me and I will always ensure to deliver the final result in time. Should any sudden changes in the project timeline arise, I will immediately let you know.★ Feedback: You have feedback for me? Awesome! I am always happy to receive feedback on my work and will include any required changes in the text.★ Confidentiality: Your project's details are safe with me - I care deeply about confidentiality, and if asked to, I will sign an NDA.
